January was Home, Dissertation, James Blake, Geotic, cold trains, Kaffeine, Black Swan, Clapham, missed calls, Bonobo.
February was Dirty Projectors - Two Doves, Sky Arts, Hawarden, welsh beer, Flat Cap and real talk, Tayyabs, my jacket smelling of curry for a month
March was Taschen, number9dream, Jonsi, mild sense of panic, Conor Oberst & Gillian Welch - Lua, job offer
April was Amsterdam 1, koninginnedag, Lykke Li - I Follow Rivers, RFID, rediscovering the Age of Adz, Notting Hill, Ghostwritten, one day of freelance
May was Gill Scott Heron & Jamie XX, bro dates with Julian, oyster cards, Class of 11, Severe sense of panic, Royal Festival Hall, Sufjan
June was Barclays business account, “it never ends”, wall vinyl, polyfilla and white paint, the embankment, war crime beer, Tamesis, bar guy, relief
July was Riding House, Norwegian Wood, lake, beach, mountain, erecting a 30ft log, scrambling, Weezer - Island in the sun, catching trout, Twin Peaks, graduation
August was Wonderbra, Amsterdam 2, Outkast - So Fresh, So Clean, A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, #menswear, the Red Lion, the Bob Jackson, heathrow, New York for 4 hours
September was Horf, St. Vincent’s Strange Mercy, Cantebury, Tiny Wings, Upper Street, lads
October was too many late nights working, the Age of Abz, forms, Tangled Talk Tour, the ‘bad’ week
November was Camden Road, exhaustion, deadlines, testing the limits of my liver, Arrested Development, York Way, Annie Clark, Bastions’ Hospital Corners, vague sense of unease
December was the final push, Wacom Intuos, removing full stops from a 240 page document, whisky, karaoke, Unknown Mortal Orchestra - FFunny FFriends, Utrecht, having cats for a month, pre-christmas Christmas, an empty house…
Here’s to a 2012 as awesome and unpredictable as that.
